The city council decided on Edgar H. Rhode park as the name of the eight-acre park donated by Wesley Atkinson and Atkinson Construction. Rhode passed away at the age of 98 after calling Copperas Cove home for more than 60 years. Learn more.
The Edgar H. Rhode Park: Adaptive Park & Sports Complex design plan is built with accessibility and community in mind. The park features multiple amenities dedicated to league sports of all abilities, including adaptive basketball courts and a baseball/softball field.
